How to hide online status and read receipts in SafeW

"Don't want to be seen as online" and "don't want to expose whether I've read a message" — SafeW can do both.

Hide online status

In "Settings > Privacy", find "Online status" and choose "Hide from everyone" or "Contacts only". Once hidden, others can't see your "last seen" time.

Turn off read receipts

Read receipts are the double-check marks showing the other party read your message. In "Privacy", turn off "Read receipts". After that, you don't show read status to others, and others don't show it to you.

What changes after hiding

With read receipts off, others can't tell whether you read their messages, and you can't tell whether they read yours — it's symmetrical. Some people find "read but no reply" stressful; turning it off is more relaxing.
