SafeW account security checklist: a complete hardening guide

Account security is the foundation of privacy. Don't rely on a password alone — follow this checklist and spend ten minutes hardening your account.

1. Set a strong password

At least 12 characters with upper/lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Avoid birthdays, phone numbers and sequences. Don't reuse the same password across platforms.

2. Enable 2FA

The most important step. Bind an authenticator app, add a code step to login, and the risk of account theft drops by more than half.

3. Check login devices

Go to "Device Management" to see all logged-in devices, and remove unfamiliar ones. Check regularly and make it a habit.

4. Reduce privacy exposure

Turn off message preview, hide online status, and turn off read receipts (as needed) to reduce your exposure surface.

5. Be careful with third-party authorization

Don't casually authorize third-party apps or bots. Check the authorization list regularly and remove unused ones.

6. Save recovery codes

Write 2FA recovery codes on paper and store them somewhere safe. They're the key to recovering your account if you lose your phone.
