How to create a group in SafeW: setup and management

Creating a group in SafeW is easy, but group management and permissions matter more. This guide covers creating a group, inviting members, setting admins, muting and removing.

How to create a group in SafeW: setup and management

SafeW supports super-groups. Creating a group is easy — the real work is the management and permissions afterwards. This guide covers the full flow.

How to create a group

Open SafeW, tap "New" or "+", and choose "New group". Give the group a name and avatar, and it's created. Then invite contacts or generate an invite link for people to join by scanning or clicking.

Group settings

In the group's "Settings", you can change the name, avatar and description. You can also set the join method: anyone can join, admin approval required, or invite-link only.

Set admins

In the member list, make trusted people admins. Admins can remove members, mute, delete messages and change settings — sharing your management load.

Mute and remove

For members who spam or advertise, admins can mute them for a while, or remove them from the group. For serious violations, add them to the blacklist to prevent rejoining.

About super-groups

SafeW supports very large groups for team collaboration and community management. In a big group, set up multiple admins and use bots for auto-welcome and banned-word blocking, so management stays manageable.

Summary

Creating a group takes a minute; management is long-term. Set up admins and permissions well, and the group stays healthy.
