SafeW voice/video calls lagging? Improve call quality
SafeW call lag, no sound or blurry video is usually network or permissions. This guide covers switching networks, checking permissions and lowering quality.
Laggy voice and video calls are frustrating. A few tricks below noticeably improve call quality.
Trick 1: Switch to a stable network
Calls are sensitive to network quality. Prefer stable Wi-Fi; if the signal is weak, switch to mobile data. Stop downloads or video playback that compete for bandwidth.
Trick 2: Check permissions
No sound is usually the microphone permission; black screen is usually the camera. Check that SafeW's microphone and camera permissions are allowed in system settings.
Trick 3: Lower the quality
On a bad network, lower the video resolution in call settings. Trading a bit of clarity for smoothness is worth it.
Trick 4: Switch output devices
If you can't hear, try plugging/unplugging headphones or switching speakers. Bluetooth headphones have high latency — use wired or speakerphone for calls.
Trick 5: Restart and retry
If call features glitch, quit and reopen the app, or restart the phone — it often recovers.
Summary
For laggy calls: check network, then permissions, then lower quality. Three steps improve the experience a lot.
